SAR-I-PUL / BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): At least 24 people have been killed and 15 others wounded as a result of traffic accidents in northern Sar-i-Pul and central Bamyan province, officials said on Thursday.
In a statement, the governor house in Sar-i-Pul, said that a passenger vehicle veered off the road and flipped over in the Sayyad district on Wednesday afternoon.
The source said eight children, 12 women and four men were killed and a woman wounded in the deadly accident.
The statemen added that the accident happened due to the recklessness of driver.
In Bamyan, at least 14 people were injured, including women and children, in the similar accident in Panjab district, said police spokesman Mohammad Khwanai Rasa.
According to Rasa, the injured were evacuated to hospital and a number of them were in critical condition.
