400,000 children benefitted from nutrition program: WFP

KABUL (Pajhwok): The World Food Program WFP says more than 400,000 children benefitted from its nutrition program in Afghanistan from January to March 2023.

WFP on Sunday tweeted its nutrition program helped to prevent and rescue children from malnutrition.

The agency said more than 400,000 children benefitted from this type of support in five months of 2023 to 17,3 million people in different parts.

OCHA has called the economic situation of Afghanistan in the first months of this year dire and said that six million people will be in the emergency level of food insecurity this year.
