KABUL (Pajhwok): More than 2,500 Afghan refugees returned from Iran yesterday (Saturday), the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Sunday.
At least 2,534 Afghan refugees came back to the country via Islam Qala in western Herat province, the ministry tweeted.
It wrote after a survey, 288 of the returnees were introduced to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for assistance.
On Thursday, more than 2,600 Afghan refugees returned from neighboring Iran.
