KABUL (Pajhwok): As many as 37 sites across Afghanistan established to collect sewage samples to check the presence of polio virus, according to the World Health Orgnaisation (WHO) on Sunday.
On its Twitter handle the world health body said: “The environmental surveillance system for #polio continues to expand. We now have 37 sites across Afghanistan to collect sewage samples and check for the presence of #poliovirus among the community.”
WHO has recently recorded the fourth polio case for the ongoing year in Afghanistan’s Nangarhar province.
