22 US service members injured in Syria chopper mishap

KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 22 US soldiers have been injured as a result of chopper crash in northern Syria, CENTCOM said on Tuesday.

The CENTCOM in its twitter handle said a helicopter crash resulted in injuries of various degrees of 22 US service members in Syria.

According to the statement, the injured service members are receiving treatment and 10 of them have been evacuated to higher care facilities outside of the CENTCOM AOR.

Investigation was underway to find out the reason behind the mishap, although there is no claim of responsibility for the incident, it concluded.
