KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Interior Minister Khalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani has said there is no room for powerful individuals and the rulers must not abuse their power.
According to Bakhtar News Agency, Haqqani travelled to northern Sar-i-Pul province where he addressed a gathering of officials, religious scholars, tribal elders and people’s representatives.
Haqqani said: “The foreigners harmed our national unity and created mistrust; but as a result of the unwavering will of the people of the country, the then empire and the invaders were defeated”.
He said: “We will allow no one to impose himself on people by force and the rulers must not abuse their power”.
Haqqani said: “The foreigners spread the poison of enmity, they are gone now, the freedom is achieved and Sharia law has come into effect.”

According to Haqqani, those who compromised on the country’s freedom left with the foreigners and they should not hope for bad days in the country to please the foreigners.
The acting interior minister asked participants of the meeting to share their opinions and demands about the reconstruction of the country and the empowerment of the regime, which would be shared with the supreme leader then.
Haqqani earlier visited northern Balkh and Faryab provinces and met with local government officials, religious scholars, tribal elders and other people as well.
