KABUL (Pajhwok): A delegation of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has participated in Oslo Forum in Norway, a credible source said on Tuesday.
The caretaker government team attended the Forum in Norway is comprised of representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Defence.
According to reports, the three-day meeting began on Tuesday and will last until Thursday.
A source confirmed to Pajhwok Afghan News that Abdul Qahar Balkhi from the MoFA, Shamsuddin Mansour from the MoI, and Rohullah Omar from the MoD participated in the meeting.
Norway's foreign minister Anniken Huitfeldt said they “invited three people from the civil service in Kabul to participate in this year’s Oslo Forum,” adding “they are not from the political leadership of the Taliban.”
“Afghan civil society and representatives from other countries to talk about the major challenges in Afghanistan,” Huitfeldt said.
Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that state minister for foreign affairs Hina Rabbani Khar and the country’s special envoy for Afghanistan Asif Ali Khan Durrani were also taking part in the 3-day meeting in Norway.
