Pact inked to address problems of Afghan journalists in exile

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghan Journalists Safety Committee (AJSC) and the Pak-Afghan Journalists Association in Pakistan have inked an agreement to solve the problems of Afghan journalists living in exile.

In a statement, AJSC said the agreement contained 11 articles and both sides promised to work together to address the problems of Afghan journalists in Pakistan, Iran and Afghanistan.

Under the agreement, media supporting international organizations would be asked for justice to the Afghan journalists forced into exile.

The statement added support for Afghan journalists dispersed into neighboring countries, their participation in capacity building and employment programs, financial support during illness, seeking justice for them in relevant institutions, reaching immigration cases and sustainable relations between Afghan journalists safety committee and Pak-Afghan international forum of journalists and holding meetings are salient features of the agreement
