KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy Prime Minister Maulvi Abdul Kabir has stressed the need for incorporating modern sciences into seminaries’ curriculum.
Maulvi Kabir met Sheikh Abdul Waheed Tariq, head of Jihadist religious schools, on Wednesday, the Presidential Palace said in a statement.
The acting premier said modern education should also be taught in religious school so students could gain the potential to work for government institutions.
Sheikh Tariq also said Jihadi schools had been activated in five provinces this year and had enrolled students.
According to him, curriculum and activities of the general directorate of Jihadi schools are being prepared under the supervision of religious scholars and relevant departments and will be implemented soon.
