LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): About 3,100 people have been provided temporary jobs by the United Nations World Food Program in southern Helmand province.
Mohammad Tahir Abshar, an official of the Lashkargah Municipality, told Pajhwok Afghan News: “About 3,100 residents of different areas have been hired to work against food items with financial support of the World Food Program for one month.”
He said these people were hired to work in eight police districts of Lashkargah City, the provincial capital, in the area of cleaning and maintaining greenery.
