KABUL (Pajhwok): At least 14 suspects have been arrested in connection with snatching and stealing money and mobile phones from people in capital Kabul.
The Kabul Police headquarters published a video clip on its twitter handle.
Maulvi Faridullah, police chief of the second security district of Kabul, in the video said security forces arrested two groups of robbers during operations last week.
According to him, a seven-member gang involved in snatching mobile phones and money from people in the Deh Afghanan area was arrested.
He added five members of a six-member gang were arrested and the sixth one was being chased by security forces.
He said these people were stealing people’s money and mobile phones in Kar-i-Naw area.
According to Maulvi Faridullah, security personal also arrested two robbers who stole 8,0000afs from a citizen.
The detainees would be referred to relevant organs for further investigation.
