Child drowns while swimming in Harirud River in Ghor

FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): A child lost his life while swimming in the Harirud River in western Ghor province, police said on Monday.

Ghor police spokesman Abdul Rahman Badri told Pajhwok Afghan News the child drowned and died while swimming in Harirud River yesterday afternoon.

Badri said security forces fished out the child’s body and took it to hospital. The victim was a resident of DawlatYar district of Ghor province.

He blamed such deaths on carelessness of families.
