BAMYAN CITY (Pajhwok): A two-day exhibition showcasing women-made products commenced in central Bamyan province on Wednesday to promote local products and support businesswomen.
Naeem Rezaei, director of Industry and Commerce, told Pajhwok Afghan News that women-made handicrafts were displayed in 31 stalls and about 70 businesswomen from Bamyan city and districts participated in the show.
He added the products displayed included local clothes, dairy products, pottery, honey and other local products to promote their sales in tourism season.
Maulvi Abdullah Sarhadhi, the governor of Bamyan, said that the leadership of the local administration of Bamyan supported businesswomen and was trying to develop the tourism industry, local products and handicrafts.
He assured no security problems in existed in the province and investors and businesswomen could invest without any concerns.
The participants welcomed the holding of such programs and sought more support from relevant departments and partner institutions.
Zainab, one of the participating businesswomen, said such exhibitions were beneficial to improve local products, handicrafts and support businesswomen.
