2 killed in Nangarhar truck-motorcycle collision

JALALABAD (Pajhwok): Two people have been killed as a result of traffic accident in Surkhrod district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Thursday.

Police spokesman Abdul Basir Zabuli told Pajhwok Afghan News that the accident occurred after a cargo truck collided with a motorcycle on Wednesday afternoon.

He said two individuals ridding the motorcycle lost their lives after being hit by the truck.

According to Zabuli, the truck driver managed to escape the area, but a manhunt launched for him.

Recklessness of the driver is said to be the reason behind the mishap.
