KABUL (Pajhwok): About 65 aluminum bricks have been prevented from being smuggled to Pakistan at Spin Boldak customs in southern Kandahar province, the Ministry of Finance said on Monday.
The ministry tweeted: “Security forces of Spin Boldak customs office prevented the smuggling of 65 aluminum bricks weighing 2.3 tons yesterday.”
The ministry said the aluminum bricks were skillfully hidden in a truck and were being smuggled to Pakistan.
Based on directives of the Islamic Emirate leadership, the Ministry of Finance said the export of all kinds of iron, aluminum and other metals used in domestic factories has been banned.
The ministry did not say if anyone was arrested in connection with the smuggling bid.
