KABUL (Pajhwok): Deputy prime minister for economic affairs Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar on Wednesday said that foreigners want to show Afghanistan is economically unstable and persuade Afghans to leave their country.
Baradar made the remarks while addressing Eid-ul-Adha congregation in the Presidential Palace after Eid prayer this morning.
He said: “Foreigners still do not leave Afghans alone; they spread rumors that there are economic problems in Afghanistan and encourage people to leave the country.”
“The economic problems are the outcome of the last 20 years of occupation and the continuous drought in the country, but the Islamic Emirate is striving to solve the existing challenges,” he added.
Mullah Baradar said that the caretaker government had taken strong measures and started work in various fields for the development of the country and addressing the existing economic problems.
