ATLANTA (Pajhwok): At least five people have been killed and hundreds of houses destroyed due to the recent flash floods last week across the country, the Afghan Red Crescent Society (ARCS) said on Sunday.
ARCS wrote on its twitter handle that last week the floods inflected hug financial losses to the people in Kabul, Parwan, Kapisa, Maidan Wardak, Nangarhar, Logar and Paktia provinces.
The sources said at least five people were killed and hundreds of houses damaged in recent floods.
ARCS said the floods also damaged schools, roads and bridges in addition to destroying thousands of acres of farmland and killed hundreds of animals.
