TALOQAN (Pajhwok): In a broad daylight incident, two armed robbers looted gold worth three million afghanis from a jewelry shop in this capital city of northern Takhar province on Wednesday, panicking goldsmiths.
Qudratullah Qurbani, one of the goldsmiths in Taloqan city, told Pajhwok Afghan News that two armed men entered a jewelry shop and took away gold ornaments worth three million afghanis by pointing gun at the shopkeeper.
He added: "Two jewelers tried to arrest the armed robbers, but they were shot in the legs by the armed robbers who took away 30 lakhs worth of jewelry."
