KABUL(Pajhwok): Featuring athletes from 12 provinces, a two-day pankration competitions started in Kabul on Thursday.
Pankration Federation deputy head Mohammad Shoaib Ahmadi told Pajhwok that 120 athletes from 12 provinces were taking part in the competitions aimed at promoting martial arts in the country.
He said that the competitions were being held in three categories among teenagers, youth and adults.
He said athletes from Kabul, Nangarhar, Khost, Daikundi, Faryab, Nimroz, Paktia, Panjshir, Parwan, Kapisa, Badghis and Ghazni provinces were participating.
