Up to 3b have experienced water scarcity: UN chief

KABUL (Pajhwok): UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has warned two to three billion people worldwide have experienced water shortages.

Late on Saturday night, the UN chief tweeted that access to clean drinking water was not a privilege.

Guterres said, we must all take collective Water Action to share resources equitably and manage them sustainably.

The UN has previously warned in a report of a global water crisis caused by excessive consumption, pollution and climate change.
