13-year-old girl found dead in Sheberghan

SHEBERGHAN (Pajhwok): A 13-year-old girl has been found dead after being missing for two days in northern Jawzjan province, an official said on Monday.

Police spokesman Qari Abdul Satar Halimi told Pajhwok Afghan News a slain girl named Marjana had disappeared two days ago from Sheberghan City, the provincial capital.

He said: “Security forces were searching for this girl. Unfortunately, her body was found this morning in the village of “Bilal Abad” in the city of Sheberghan.”

He added that the initial information suggested that this girl had been hanged to death.

According to the information of the source, two people have been detained in connection with this case and the investigation is ongoing.
