FAIZABAD (Pajhwok): Local officials in northeastern Badakhshan province claim retaking 685 acres of state land from usurpers in Arghanj Khwa district.
Qari Qutbuddin Dehnawi, director of agriculture, irrigation and livestock and head of the technical committee to prevent land usurpation, visited Shewa area of Arghanj Khwa district.
He said 500 acres of land was recovered in Golistan area, 10 acres in Sar-i-Kotal Shewa, 75 acres in Kardak and100 acres in Mazar Dara area.
Meanwhile, Waliullah Shadab, deputy head of the technical committee, said last year about 3,290 acres of state land reclaimed in Juram, Kishim, Ishkashim and surrounding areas of Faizabad city from usurpers.
