KABUL (Pajhwok): More than 550 Afghan refugees returned from Pakistan in the past two days, the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation (MoRR) said on Tuesday.
The returning families arrived in the country through Spin Boldak crossing in southern Kandahar province in last two days, the ministry tweeted.
The ministry said the returnees included 94 families and their total numbers reach 557 people.
They were introduced to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for assistance after their registration with the provincial Refugee and Repatriation Department.
A number of ailing returnees were treated free of charge by the Health Network and also the Norwegian Immigration Council distributed one package of food to each returnee.
