MAIDAN SHAHR (Pajhwok): The Mangal Zalmai Team has won the inter-clubs competitions final played in Maidan Shahr, the capital of Central Maidan Wardak province, an official said on Monday.
Muhammad Asif Amarkhel, the provincial Cricket Board Head, told Pajhwok Afghan News: “This competition started one and a half months ago between 18 cricket teams at provincial level”.
He said in the final match was won by Mangal Zalmai after winning the toss and setting the target of 240 runs in 25 overs.
The Etiffaq team lost by 10 runs due to the loss of all players He added.
Mangal Zalmi team captain Tahir Zaland told Pajhwok: “I am happy to claim this year's interclub championship again like last year my team won the first place in this competition”.
Obaidullah, one of the players, said that they do not have a suitable stadium and are facing problems in this regard.
He asked they should be given a standard stadium for cricket games so that these games are more popular.
