Couple detained for killing 55-year-old woman in Balkh

MAZAR-I-SHARIF (Pajhwok): A couple has been arrested in connection with the killing of a woman in northern Balkh province, an official said on Tuesday.

In a statement, police said the detainees were husband and wife who had allegedly killed a woman after kidnapping her in limits of 10^th police district of Mazar-i-Sharif, the provincial capital, on Monday night.

The source said the couple after killing the 55-year-old woman buried her in their house.

The body has been shifted to civil hospital and would be handed over to her relatives.
