KABUL (Pajhwok): The central bank is all set to auction $14 million today (Wednesday) in a bid to keep the afghani steady.
In a statement, Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) asked eligible banks and money changers to participate in the tender – the latest in a series of auctions in recent months.
Winners of today’s auction will have to
settle their accounts by the end of the day, according to the state lender, which said partial transactions were not permissible.
Successful bidders are obliged to deliver the money to Da Afghanistan Bank in cash at once or at a certain time, the statement added.
