KABUL (Pajhwok): The resolution of problems pertaining to trade and investment between Afghanistan and Iran was Iran’s top priority, a top Iranian diplomat said on Tuesday.
Hassan Kazami, Iranian president’s special representative for Afghanistan, on his twitter handle wrote that bilateral relations could successfully improve under the shadow of bilateral mutual interest.
“The resolution of problems pertaining to trade and investment amid at improved economic relations remained the top priority of Iran,” he said.
“Restructuring Iranian export to Afghanistan, facilitating the process of issuing permits, the passage of traders, activating the Khaf-Herat railway, forming a committee to facilitate and remove obstacles to production and investment, supporting investors from the two countries, and forming a mining consortium are some of the steps taken in the area.” He said.
