KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Head of the Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) Hidayatullah Badri during a meeting with the Norwegian Chargé d’Affaires Paul Klouman Bekken discussed matters related to banking and finance, according to a statement on Thursday.
The two sides discussed strengthening bilateral relationship and made commitment to promote economic ties, the DAB statement said.
On Wednesday, the UN Secretary General’s Special Representative (UN-SGSR) for Afghanistan Roza Otunbayeva during a meeting with Badri said that despite economic challenges Afghanistan’s banking sector has been properly administered in the past two years.
The parties discussed and exchange views on joint cooperation in Islamic financial sector growth, small enterprises, removal of curbs on banking sector and related issues.
