KABUL (Pajhwok): The European Union (EU) on Thursday announced a new €7.6 million project for Afghanistan to support farmers with new techniques to strengthen their incomes.
EU Afghanistan tweeted: “Today, #EU & @Afghanaid launched a new €7.6 m project to address food insecurity through improved productions & restoration of unirrigated land. This to support farmers with new techniques to strengthen and diversify their incomes.”
Rafaela Addis, head of the European Union Delegation in Afghanistan, said that the EU was committed to helping the people of Afghanistan, especially the most vulnerable people in local communities, such as female-headed households who cannot meet their needs.
