PUL-I-ALAM (Pajhwok): The Kankor examinations --- Universities entry tests --- for 2023 has kicked off in 11 provinces and would continue for two days, an official said on Thursday.
Abdul Baqi Haqqani, head of the National Examination Authority, made the announcement during the launch of Kankor exam in central Logar province.
He said the Kankor test examinations had kicked off in Logar, Bamyan, Daikundi, Ghor, Faryab, Jawzjan, Paktia, Khost, Baghlan, Sar-i-Pul and Takhar provinces.
He said 150,000 students have registered for the Kankor examination out of which 107,000 would get the opportunity to study in different state-run universities of the country.
Haqqani said the Kankor examination process was completely transparent adding that after 10 days of the examination the final result of the Kankor tests would be announced.
Logar Higher Education Department Head Shafiqullah Shafqat said 2,323 people have registered for the Kankor examination and 2,200 have participated in the test.
He said out of the total candidates 11,000 would be entertained in the agriculture and education universities of the province.
He assured transparency in the process and said full preparation had been made for the Kankor examination process.
Rafiullah, one of the participants, said better arrangements had been made for the Kankor test now comparing to the past.
The Kankor examination for 2023 was being conducted at a time when girls are deprived from appearing in the Kankor test.
