3 persons die in separate incidents in Faryab

MAIMANA (Pajhwok): One person committed suicide and two persons died in traffic accidents in three districts of northern Faryab province, police said on Friday.

Faryab crime branch police deputy director Damla Maawiz told Pajhwok Afghan News that Ghulam Sakhi, a 45-year-old resident of Qarghan district hanged himself to death yesterday afternoon.

He said the deceased was a drug addict and hanged himself from the roof of his house room.

He said the man, who worked in the Aqeena port, had only one son and his wife worked as carpet weaver.

Meanwhile, traffic officials said two people died and a third was injured due to two traffic accidents in Sherin Tagab and Daulatabad districts.

Ahmad Fahim Kohi, traffic department head, said a motorcyclist and his wife were killed after colliding with a tractor in Gurzad Kotal area of Sherin Tagab district on Thursday evening. He identified the deceased as 40-year-old Jamaluddin.

One person was injured in the collision.

Kohi said one person died in a traffic accident in Daulatabad district.
