Afghanistan-A cricket team returns from Sari Lanka

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan-A cricket team returned to the country from Sari Lanka after participating in the ongoing ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup.

The ACC men’s Emerging Teams Asia Cup commenced in Sari Lanka on July 13 and will continue until July 23.

Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) wrote on its Facebook page that the Afghanistan-A team won two matches in the Emerging Asia Cup and lost one and failed to advance and thus returned to the country.

Afghanistan were placed in Group A with Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Oman and the Group B includes Pakistan, India, Nepal and the United Arab Emirates.

Afghanistan defeated Sri Lanka and Oman A, but lost to Bangladesh and failed to advance.
