KABUL (Pajhwok): The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) says Afghanistan’s agriculture and economy have been severely affected by the impact of climate change and successive droughts.
UNOCHA tweeted: “Afghanistan continues to experience climatic & economic shocks, including drought.”
“With 80% of HHs dependent on agriculture for food & income, and last season’s wheat production meeting just 40% of needs, livelihoods support is critical.”
