KABUL (Pajhwok): Nearly 3000 more Afghan refugees returned from Iran yesterday (Wednesday), the Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said on Thursday.
The refugees numbering 2,947 arrived in the country via Islam Qala port in western Herat province, the ministry tweeted.
It wrote after a survey, 663 of the returnees were introduced to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for assistance.
Last month, about 2,294 Afghan refugees returned from neighboring Iran.
