Security enforced across Afghanistan, says Akhund

KABUL (Pajhwok): Prime Minister Mullah Mohammad Hassan Akhund said on Saturday the peaceful commemoration of Yaum-i-Ashur proved foolproof nationwide security.

With the return of the Islamic Emirate of IEA (IEA), peace and security had been restored across the country, the premier said in a statement.

He added: “Propaganda by certain circles that still consider Afghanistan insecure and doubt the ability of our security forces has been proven wrong.” Akhund said.

He insisted individual, social and religious rights of all citizens were safeguarded in line with the Islamic Shariah.

The restoration of stability had afforded Afghans the opportunity to build their country and take quick steps towards its development under the Islamic system, he added.

Akhund asked the world, the region and neighbours to support security in Afghanistan and stop miscreants from crossing borders into the country.

The prime minister said: “The Islamic Emirate desires the welfare and comfort of its people and positive engagement with the world.”
