LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): A fire erupted inside a motorcycle shop in Lashkargah, the capital of southern Helmand province, causing a loss of 13 million afghanis.
Maulvi Mohammad Qasim Riaz, deputy director of information and culture, told Pajhwok Afghan News the fire broke out inside a motorcycle shop in the 1st police district of the provincial capital.
He said the blaze, which lasted more than an hour, left 20 motorcycles and one vehicle gutted and caused damages estimated at 13 million afs.
The official added firefighters extinguished the blaze and prevented possible losses of five million afghanis.
