FEROZKOH (Pajhwok): More than a dozen tourists from Italy, Japan and Pakistan arrived in western Ghor province yesterday, an official said on Monday.

Maulvi Mohammad Hamas, director of information and culture, told Pajhwok Afghan News the foreign tourists arrived in Ghor on Sunday and visited the Minaret of Jam and other historical places.

“About 13 tourists from different countries visited historical places, especially the Minaret of Jam,” he added.

Hamas said the number of foreign tourists visiting the country, particularly Ghor province, has increased after the Islamic Emirate’s return to power.

“The Islamic Emirate is trying to develop the tourism industry in the country."
