PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Pakistan will take on Afghanistan in a three-match one-day international (ODI) series in Sri Lanka later in August.
The series will help both sides prepare for Asia Cup and the International Cricket Council (ICC) Men's World Cup 2023.
Pakistan confirmed on Monday they would begin training in Sri Lanka on August 17 ahead the series, commencing on August 22.
The second match will be played on August 24, with the final ODI set for August 26. The first two matches will be played in Hambantota and the third in Colombo.
22 Aug – First ODI, Hambantota
24 Aug – Second ODI, Hambantota
26 Aug – Third ODI, Colombo
Pakistan have won all the four ODIs they played against Afghanistan. The two sides last played in this format in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019.
