Teenager killed in Baghlan, suspect arrested: Police

PUL-I-KHUMRI (Pajhwok): Police have arrested a murder suspect in the capital of northern Baghlan province.

A statement from the police headquarters to Pajhwok Afghan News said that a man was killed in the Sugar factory area of Pul-i-Khumri on Wednesday night.

The statement quoted police chief Mullah Akhtar Mohammad Baryalai as saying: “Last night, a person killed a man in Bora Fabrika area in Pul-i-Khumri city, and the killer wanted to escape, but he was arrested.”

A resident of the area, who declined to be named, told Pajhwok Afghan News that the slain person was the youngest son of Haji Karim, a resident of the area.

He said the 18-year-old was killed near his house.
