Heavy rain, flood forecast in 8 provinces

KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Department of Meteorology on Friday forecast 10 to 30mm heavy rain, lighting and flooding in eight provinces of the country.

In a statement, this department said there was a possibility of heavy rain, lighting, flooding and windstorms in eight provinces today and tomorrow (August 4 and 5).

According to the source, the provinces with possibility of rains and floods are Nuristan, Kunar, Laghman, Nangarhar, Logar, Paktia, Khost, and Paktia.

The source added that precipitation was to be 10 to 30mm in these provinces.
