KABUL (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum (MoMP) says Iranian businesspeople have evinced a keen interest in investing in Afghanistan’s mining sector.
Acting Minister of Mines and Petroleum Sheikh Shahabuddin Dilawar met Iranian and Afghan investors abroad at his office here on Wednesday, the ministry tweeted.
It wrote the Iranian and Afghan investors living abroad showed their keenness to invest in coal and other mines in Afghanistan.
Delawar was quoted as promising cooperation with the investors in accordance with the mining rules and procedures.
