Kapisa man detained after stabbing to death mother

MAHMOOD RAQI (Pajhwok): A man allegedly stabbed to death his mother in Hesa-i-Doyem Kohistan district of central Kapisa province before his brother shot him injured, police said on Saturday.

In a statement, the police headquarters said the incident took place in Kishktan village of the district on Friday night around 8:00pm

According to the statement, the 55 years old woman died of her wounds while being taken to hospital. She was stabbed by her son Syed Jan with a knife.

After the incident, Syed Jan was shot and injured with a shot gun by his brother Toryali on the order of his father. Toryali has managed to escape the area, the statement said.

Police have detained Syed Jan.
