KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Railway Authority (ARA) says more than 92,000 metric tons of commercial goods were exported and imported through the country’s railroads during the past one week.
The ARA wrote on Sunday that from August 4 till August 10, a total of 92,000 metric tons of commercial goods were imported and exported through the railway tracks.
It said 69,463 tons of goods were transported through Hairatan railway line, 11,405 tons through Turghondi and 6083 metric tons through Aqina railway line.
During the same period, 5,834 metric tons of goods were exported through the railway lines.
ARA officials on July 29 told the accountability program that more than 4.5 million metric tons of goods were transported through the country’s railways in 1401 fiscal year and 3.6 million metric tons in 1400 fiscal year.
