Kabul (Pajhwok): The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs says Tuesday has been declared a public holiday to mark the second anniversary of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’s return to power.
August 15, 2021 marked a major event in the country’s history when the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan (IEA) took over Kabul and ousted the former regime of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
In a statement the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs said August 15, 2023 coincided with the victory of day of the jihad of the Afghan people led by the Islamic Emirate against American occupation and according to the IEA calendar, it is a national holiday in the country.”
