Road graveled, canal cleaned in Uruzgan

TIRINKOT (Pajhwok): Gravelling of a 9.26 kilometer road and cleaning of a 50-km canal have been completed at a cost of more than six million afghanis in Chinartu district of central Uruzgan province, an official said on Wednesday.

Nangayli Habibi, director of Rural Rehabilitation and Development Department, told Pajhwok Afghan News the cleaning of canal and construction of the road was completed today.

He said the project consumed 6.52 million afghanis provided by the World Bank.

He added about 1,035 people worked on the project against 450 afghnis per day each.
