KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting PM’s Political Aide Mawlavi Abdul Kabir has said the ‘Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan’ (IEA) believed on multi-dimensional cooperation, including the Belt and Road Project, with China and was ready to provide necessary facilities for foreign investment, according to a statement on Friday.
Mawlavi Abdul Kabir made the remarks while addressing China and South Asia Cooperation meeting through video link, the Afghanistan Embassy in Beijing said.
He termed the IEA policy economic oriented and said gathering like the China-South Asia could promote cooperation and coordination between the regional countries.
“The IEA believe on multi-dimensional cooperation with China, including the Belt and Road Project, and it was ready to provide all facilities to foreign investors,” he said.
Belt and Road Project is implemented in 65 countries and it included the construction of road networks, railway truck, ports and industrial parks.
Mawlavi Abdul Kabir said that Afghanistan was not a threat to the regional countries and added IEA believed on cordial neighbourhood, mutual respect and not interfering in the internal affairs of other countries.
He said time was set for the implementation of mega economic projects in Afghanistan and the country was bestowed with great geo strategic location as far as the regional connectivity is concerned.
