200 AUAF Afghan students welcomed in Doha

KABUL (Pajhwok): US Chargé d’Affaires to Afghanistan Karen B. Decker has welcomed 200 inspiring young Afghans students to the American University of Afghanistan (AUAF) new campus in Doha, the capital of Qatar.

In a tweet, Decker said Afghans needed access to a modern education to help build a modern Afghanistan.

She said the US was proud to support hundreds of students in Afghanistan and at regional universities.

The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has suspended girls’ high and university education till further notice.
