Helmand: 18 shops gutted in Kajaki market blaze

LASHKARGAH (Pajhwok): At least 18 shops have been gutted as a result of a blaze in the Kajaki district in southern Helmand province, an official said on Monday.

Director of Information and Culture Maulvi Mohammad Qasim Riaz told Pajhwok Afghan News a the fire happened in the Tangi bazaar of the district on Sunday.

He said 18 shops were gutted, causing losses of hundreds of thousands of afghanis. A short circuit led to the fire that was extinguished with the help of local officials and people.
