Afghanistan hockey team leaves for Oman

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan national hockey team has left for Oman to participate in the Hockey’s Asia Cup, the Afghanistan National Olympic Committee (NOC) said on Tuesday.
The NOC and General Directorate of Sports wrote on X the 10-member national hockey team left for Oman on Tuesday.
Oman is hosting the Asia Cup scheduled to be held in Salalah.
The ANOC said the Afghan team will play its first match against Kazakhstan tomorrow.
The committee added Afghanistan has been placed in the group with Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Iran and Indonesia.
