PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The South Waziristan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a local transport union have called for the reopening of the Angoor Adda trade route.
The demand for the reopening of the crossing came at a sit-in, which entered its seventh day on Wednesday. The protestors suspended all types of traffic at the customs terminal, including the Angoor Adda gate.
While urging the authorities to facilitate traders and transporters, they demanded the removal of unnecessary barriers and clearance of loaded and unloaded vehicles at the gate.
At Angoor Adda, they said, customs agents should be issued with special cards to facilitate their entry and exit.
